This is Scott. I am slowly making my way back to normal. Since the accident, I have avoided doing any live interviews, but on Friday I accepted an invitation to appear on a live segment on Bloomberg Radio today, which will take place live but via telephone. We did a quick pre-interview and I sounded loud and clear.
You can catch me on Bloomberg Radio with host Cory Johnson today at 3:30PM EDST but tune in around 3:25, just in case. Bloomberg Radio can be tuned in on 1130AM NY, 1200AM Boston, 960AM San Francisco, 99.1FM/105.7 FM HD2 Washington, D.C. and 24 hours a day across the country on Sirius/XM Channel 119, and via the Radio+, IHeart, and Tune-In Radio Apps. or the internet at http://www.bloomberg.com/radio/
By the way, in my last My Gut Feeling I mentioned that panics don’t end on the afternoon close, but rather end after a reversal of a lower morning opening. However, I must qualify that statement. As I have mentioned in the past, with the advent of 24-hour global trading, sometimes futures markets do bottom in the middle of the night, prior to the New York market open. It appears that occurred Friday. It also appears that there was backdoor diplomacy over the weekend and China is leaning hard on North Korea to back down on its rhetoric. Economically, China needs the US more than it does North Korea.
